• To deliver our Services. We process your email address to send you the Solar Scout weekly newsletter you subscribed to.
• To request feedback. We may process your information when necessary to request feedback about our Services.
• To comply with legal obligations. We may process your information to comply with our legal obligations, respond to legal requests, and exercise or defend our legal rights.

We may share your data with the following third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf:

• Supabase — Functionality and infrastructure optimisation (database storage). Data hosted in Singapore region.
• Vercel — Website hosting.
• Resend — Transactional email delivery (newsletter sends).

All third parties we work with have contracts in place designed to safeguard your personal information. They may not use your data for any purpose other than to provide services to us.

We may also share your information in connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect and store information when you interact with our Services. Cookies help us maintain the security of our Services and assist with basic site functions (such as keeping you logged in to our content management system).

The cookies we use are strictly necessary — they are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. We do not use advertising, analytics, or preference cookies at this time.

Most web browsers accept cookies by default. You can set your browser to remove or reject cookies, though this may affect certain features of the Services.

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

• Row-level security on our database — subscriber data is not readable by unauthenticated parties
• Server-side only access to sensitive credentials
• Unique unguessable tokens for unsubscribe links
• Infrastructure hosted on SOC 2 compliant platforms (Supabase, Vercel)

However, no electronic transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You should only access our Services within a secure environment.

We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. If we learn that personal information from users under 18 has been collected, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data.

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173) and other applicable laws, you have the right to:

• Be informed about how your data is being processed
• Access a copy of your personal information held by us

• Withdraw your consent to processing at any time (e.g. by unsubscribing)
• File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission

Unsubscribing: You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.

Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have your browsing activities monitored. We do not currently respond to DNT signals as no uniform technology standard has been finalised. If such a standard is adopted in the future, we will update this notice accordingly.
